Default Fading clock

The dashboard clock on my '99 Sienna has been fading. To restore it to full brightness, I have to press on the display. Lately, it's been completely black until I press on it. I don't suspect a fuse because it still works (along with all other accessories). Any ideas? How would I gain access to it behind the dash?
