creaking noise from sliding doors

I have a 2007 Sienna CE and I really like the car

.....except.....

I have a problem with a creaking noise coming from my sliding doors (near the latch, I think). This noise is almost constant...any little bump, braking accelerating, turning a corner causes it.

I have had it into the dealer twice...once in July and again today. The noise was gone when my wife picked it up this afternoon, but the noise was back this evening. Dealer has been lubricating the door seals, but I think they are only treating the symptom...

Anyone else have this problem?

I tried the electrical tape trick yesterday morning...and drove at least 20 miles yesterday without any noise from the sliding doors...so I believe I have definitely isolated the noise as coming from the striker plate / door latch intersection point.

Thanks to Jim for your response. I did see a TSB for the 2004 Siennas for this problem/fix...I will approach my dealer with this information to see if they would do this fix under warranty...wish me luck!

Did they find the problem and fix it? My 2008 is making the same noise and my dealer can't find anything wrong.
