2001 pinging, knocking - Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum

I have 66,000 miles on the Sienna. Since I had my spark plugs replaced at 60k, the check engine light has come on along w/pinging on accelleration. I have had my MAF cleaned twice, throttle body cleaned, air fuel sensor replaced and still there is pinging.And my gas petal still sticks a little when I accelerate. Any experience w/ pinging? I have never owned a Toyo that pings. And I have owned lots of toyo's. Thanks - Rob

What kind of plugs did they use? NGK/Denso?

Clean the throttle body for sticking gas pedal, which you did, maybe the cable is binding.
Did they remove the TB and clean it thoroughly, sometimes you have to use a rag and cleaner to scrub off the carbon, then lube it with WD40 or equivilant.

Timing belt changed??? Maybe it jumped a tooth?
