Default Sienna Real World MPG, hybrid?

Any plans for Sienna hybrid coming soon? Its rated at 17/23 mpg right now, not much better than the 16/19 of my 3.4 V6 Tundra. When do the Sienna's ship with the new Camry 6 speed? 2009?

guessing you're probably going to have to wait until the 3rd generation sienna debuts. According to Wikipedia the sienna is due for an overhaul for 2010, so keep your eyes out for spyshots (and possibly a new york auto show debut?) next year. my guess is toyota will definately put hybrid tech in the sienna, with gas prices the way they are and the way the suv market is...2010 should def. be the year we see a hybrid sienna.

but also, 2010 is the same year the avalon is to be overhauled and the camry is to get a facelift...keeping to the 3-6 year model thing. there could be a chance toyota could replace the current 6 speed auto 3.5l v6 in the camry with a more powerful and more fuel efficient 3.8l...just a guess.

Well we just got an 08 and on the trip back we averaged 21.74 mpg.Took it on another road trip and averaged about the same according to gas fill up and mileage.Computer avg was 26mpg on the low end and 30mpg on the high side, but this baby isn't even broke in yet only had 7 miles on the clock at delivery.Sure beats the heck out of that 18mg hwy we got out of that yukon we had.Plus it only got about 11 mpg in town.
