Default sienna power window problems

THe driver side window of my 2000 sienna le sometimes will stop working half way up. By waiting a few minutes with the key off I can bit by bit get it to close. Is this the motor or the switch? Also, at 97K, I started having oil gel problems and the dealer replaced the valve guides. I have been a regular 4k oil/filter change owner. Is there a chance of the oil problem to reoccur?
Thank you

On my van, it was a linkage mounting bolt inside the door that had come loose. It would flex when trying to close the window and bind because there was no anchor for the linkage. I had to pull the door panel off to determine this.
