Default P1155 2001 Sienna LE

Just got another code:
P1155: Air/Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit. (Bank 2 Sensor 1).

I guess Oxygen Sensors are a wear item, and I just passed 90k miles, so I should expect it.

I already replaced the hard one near the firewall, when I got a P1135. This is the same sensor, only on the other side (bank).

Just sent an email to 1st Toyota Parts - to get the part number. If my guess is right, looks to be about $148.

I am currently getting the P1135 on my 2002 van with 97K miles.

Light comes on for a day or two then goes of for a few days, am sure one of these days it will stay on. Had codes read and it was the p1135.

Realize its the hard one, did you change it yourself?

Thought I would spray the sensor threads a few times with penetrating oil in hopes that when I do have to change the sensor that it will come out easier.

How did you get the wires off the sensor?

Did you order the sensor from the address you gave in your post?

Thanks,

Front precat. sensor # 87467-41040
placing my order now.
I probably could get this from my local dealer, but I've had good luck ordering from:
"Toyota Parts" - OnlineToyota Parts and Accessories.

I did change the hard one myself -
I made a crazy lever to reach it and get it out by combining a
breaker bar
spark plug socket
double ended crescent wrench.
Plus I have long skinny arms.
Other combinations of tools I had on hand did not deliver the necessary torque without slipping off...

The wire connector pops on and off - I don't remember that being a problem.

This was not pretty - the cord was about 2 in. too short - I had to splice the old one. For the premium price of buying a factory part, you would think I could leave the soldering gun in the tool box.

If anyone else has to do this, I would recommend buying the generic Bosche and splicing it in.

The nice thing is that the idiot light turned off by itself - no need to reset. And it was really easy to get this one out, no gymnastics required.
