Does Leather = Heated?
I bought a 2005 Sienna XLE at a dealer that has leather seats. He gave me the original vehicle inquiry report that says it has cloth seats. The only option listed is Package #4 (VSC TRAC, rear discs, windshield wiper de-icer grid, daytime running lights, curtain airbags, pwr moonroof). It also has a DVD in the roof that isn't listed in the report.
I think all listings I looked at before purchasing this one that had leather also had heat in the seats. We live outside Chicago so I was thinking that would be nice. But the leather seats are not heated. It was orginally sold in Georgia. The salesman said oh it must be because it was a southern vehicle. Did Toyota really make two kinds of leather seats? Is it possible someone swapped leather for the original cloth seats, and could I find there really is a heater element in them? Is the wiring harness set up for heated seats even if it didn't have them? The Carfax report is clean.
Also, what does the windshield wiper de-icer grid look like? I don't think mine has that either.
Thanks,
Jim
