Disabling the power door on 1999 Sienna
I have a broken passenger side power door on my 1999 Sienna. The Dealership says it will cost over over $1100 to repair since the door motor will need to be replaced. Currently, the door will only open part of the way. There is also a cable hanging out on the rear side of the door. I don't want to spend the $ on repairing the power feature. So I want to disable the motor and get it so the door will open and close all the way manually. Can you help walk me through the process? How complicated is this?
