for the same toyota avalon xls 1997
one more thing that i am pretty sure u can help me as well

i bought a performance chip that should be installed into the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor but in my car seems like the iat sensor is inbuilt or something like that

i sent an email to the company i bought this chip from and they reply to me this:

Yes, sometimes this happens and we appologize for the inconvience. It is still very simple to install. Follow these easy instructions and it will be installed perfectly. First locate the 2 wires that are specifically used for the IAT sensor in the MAF. If you use a service manual, this manual will show you which wires are for what. The module is reversible, it doesn’t matter which end goes to what wire as long as it is connected properly. Use 2 wire quick connects, you can find these in the automotive section at wal-mart they are a light blue in color. If you have never used these before, they are simple to use and the package will have instructions. This is the easiest and best way to install the module if the IAT is built into the MAF.

the thing is, i have no idea where is the MAF or what cables, nothing

can u please guide me in this one as well

thank you

My opinion is that this device is a waste of money and you should return it. Buy yourself a good AIR FILTER. (AEM or Volant) to name a few.
The ecu will learn with that device and return its parameters to the stock programming. This device is just a resisitor to fool the computer into thinging the engine is running cooler than it is, this richens the mixture for better power, but the ecu will in time readjust everything back to its normal parameters. Now you have gianed nothing except a lighter wallet. I tried this in my own vehicle and it did absolutly nothing.

i have a problem right now and i am, again, asking you for help

my battery is totally dead, i tried to open it with the remote and it doesn't do anything, the two door key entries are broken (somebody tried to still my car like 2 weeks ago and damaged the 2 looks so i cant open the doors with the key) the only thing i can open is the trunk but, i think it is imposible to go inside the car from there due to the rear sits do not move, im afraid i could break them if i force them to move.

so, my idea is that, if i can open the hood i will start jump it with another car, once the battery has some power again the looks will work (i guess).

and of course, if u have a better idea please let me know

there is any way i can open the hood from the outside? if so, how can i do it?

thank you

I've got a 2002 Sienna dashboard I'm trying to remove. Could you possibly email me those instructions that were mentioned? I'm trying to replace the temperature control assembly.
