My door works OK (complete open and close), but the power door light is always on. When I lock the car, it locks without any annoying warning signal (that means all doors are closed).
I still plan to use my power door, but just simply want to turn off the light (since it causes annoying noise when I change the gear to D). How can I turn off the power door light (and noise)?
Thanks,
Check the junction connector on the front side of the power slide door and make sure it isnt broken.
There should be 7 pins.
3 pins should be level with each other and sticking out further than the lower 4 pins.
The lower 4 pins should be level with each other and not protruding as far as the upper 3. If any of them looks uneven then it is probably broken.
If this is ok, Turn off the master door switch
Open slide door 1/2 way
then disconnect the battery for 1 minute
after 1 minute reconnect battery
turn on master door switch
manually close slide door
now open and close slide door using power switch 7 times or until light goes out
(open and close both doors if it has Dual power doors)
If this doesnt work, then you need the SLIDE DOOR ECU

Thanks for the answer.
I tried, but it didn't work. When I reset, the door seems working OK for twice (when I tried 7 times), but it failed to close firmly/reopened itself. I tried a couple more times, and now it keeps reopened itself less and less (not fully but half, 1/4 next time...), finally, it never opens (I mean it does not work at all).
Although, now PowerDoor light is still on, but the buzz does not sound (at least I can drive without annoying sound but I should open that door manually only).

Do you see it is a symtom of ECU failure?
Thanks,
Was the junction connector ok?
Yes, sounds like an ECU failure.... very common
You can shut off the master switch and use it as manual door yes.

Thanks for the quick reply (I really appreciate it).
OK, the thing is I have dual power doors (one of them is working very well!!), so I may keep using it with power enabled, and using the other one manually (by turning off the switch back and forth..). But, my kids are still young and can't open themselves.. So, I'd better not use that door, but at least I don't have buzz sounds (although PowerDoor light is still on)...
Oh Well, I think I can live with it. (depending on the price of ECU replacement...) Thanks.
Make sure the pins are in good condition Mustang mentioned. My problem is that the jacket the pin assemby snaps into has a hairline crack on top and bottom, so when the door is shut, the pin assembly is pushed in and contact is lost. I am going to replace the wiring harness, this is a fairly simple job to do but you will need to remove the inside door panel for access.
