I have to replace the rotors on my 2002 sienna. Any help would of how or where to look is appreciated. I have no problem replacing the pads, but don't know how to get the rotors off. Thanks.

I've tried to remove the rotors and I couldn't do it. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. They seemed to be welded. I do not believe that we have to remove the center nut but I might be wrong. I was wondering if anyone could help me?

Thank yo and Merry Christmas

No, you don't want to remove that center nut (that is securing the half-shaft to the steering knuckle). The original rotors are a very tight fit on the hubs. Assuming of course that you have removed the calipers and mounting brackets and hung the calipers safely (no strain on the hoses), then you can proceed to beat the rotors off. You can squirt some solvent of your choice at the junction of the rotor and hub if it makes you feel better, but it probably won't have any significant effect. Turn the rotor and smack it, preferably with a three-pound hand sledge. (You're replacing it anyway.) It will eventually give up and come off.

When you install the new rotors, clean up the hub with a wire brush and use a bit of anti-seize on the contact area between hub and rotor.

thank you. I will try it again. I did use a hammer. I guess I have to start using the heavy artillery.

Merry Christmas
