Hi there,
I'm new on this forum but I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I was in an accident yesterday with my Sienna and now I am freaking out about my brakes.
We rear ended another vehicle because my car for some reason did not full stop. We were not following too closely because there was alot of time before our car hit the other car. Full brakes were applied but my car just kept going. We were travelling no more than 50km/hr. Road conditions were not a factor. Brakes were applied to slow down at least 10 metres away or so, then full brakes, but car did not come to a full stop. It was insane.
Went for an oil change and service just last week and everything was fine. After the accident, tested the brakes by driving at 60km/hr and then braking fully, the car stopped perfectly. I have no idea what happened and am kind of worried.
As well, a wierd thing about the collision was not we did not hit bumper to bumper. The grille of my car was completely smashed off and hood bent inward. My bumper was practically untouched and the other vehicle's bumper had only minor scratches. The other vehicle was a little Acura. How did the much larger Sienna receive much more damage than it's smaller counterpart? It's bizzare!
Well that is my story

. This episode has really gotten me rattled & am a bit scared of driving it now. If anyone has any ideas, opinions, past experiences they'd like share, that would be fantastic. I appreciate your assistance.
Cheers
