Default 2004 Sienna Wire Colors

Greetings All,

I'm new to this site and hope you can help! This seems like a question that should have an easy answer, but I've called the dealer and they can't help.

I'd like to know: The reverse light has two wires running to it: One is white with a black stripe, one is red with a blue stripe. I assumed the white/black wire was the ground and the red/blue was the hot for an installation I did (that had to tap into the wires) but the item I installed isn't working - but the backup light works just fine after installation. Did I assume correctly?

Thank you!
Cyn
