Hi. Real newbie to this forum. Wonderfully informative site you all have here. I come from a hard core Toyota family out in the SF Bay Area, California, and I currently own a 2001 Sienna XLE, and 2002 Sienna Symphony, and a 1992 Toyota P/U. I really like to work on my own cars; it's almost therapeutic after doing hard core software as a day job, and it's extremely satisfying to be self-reliant and it's amazing in a good way how my cars keep running if I keep taking care of them.

Hi everybody.
I own 2006 Sienna (bought it in 2007 new for 27K with DVD and other options). Dealer told me it had run-flat tires. I found out tires were regular and pretty cheap, they already wore out just after 20,000 miles and I just ordered a set of new Yokohama 16 inch tires from Tirerack. (I am writing all this info hoping to get some feedback from other Sienna owners).
Major complain is very bad gas mileage in town. But then again my wife is the primary driver and I think she hits brakes and gas pedal too much too often. You know how men complain about women driving skills. When I go out of town on a long trip mileage seems to be pretty good. So its a mystery to me.
If I were to buy the car again I definitely would go for Sienna but with fewer options. Car by itself is great and works for my big family (2 babies each with its own car seat). Seems to fit all the in-laws and siblings. But then again I am just a guy paying for it.

I am also looking into buying a new car or truck for myself so I will be reading more about Tundra. I like the name and Toyota reliability. But kinda short on cash. I wouldn't mind buying a used truck but I know nothing about trucks. Hopefully I can learn more from this site
