2006 Sienna Rear A/C Troubles

I'm sure there is an easy solution to my problem, but I cannot seem to figure it out. As far as I know, the only control I have as the driver for the rear A/C is the speed of the fan. I have not been able to figure out how to adjust the temperature or the direction of the air flow from the front controls. The only time I get an adjustment is when I reach back to the controls in the rear and change the temperature and direction. Am I stupid? Is there a way to change that? I would really like to know what I am doing wrong.

There is no easy solution. You can not adjust the rear from the front.
Only the fan speed you can control.

Before driving to the workshop, check the cabin air filter condition. I had similar problem last winter. Problem went off after filter change.
