05 should have one. i haven't seen an 05 w/ V8 without LSD. the sticker on them can come off, so just by looking you will not be able to tell unless the sticker is still on there.

mines don't have a button either. but what i have noticed is that dblcabs with LSD that has that button is the non-TRD trucks. all TRD trucks i have seen does not have that button. my brother in law and my truck are the same, difference in color only. mines has the TRD option, his doesn't, he has a button, mines does not. dunno, it's weird...

I believe you are correct. Mine is 4X4 non-TRD and it has the LSD button. Looks like TRD version doesn's have LSD button.

Mine is a 4x4 NON-TRD with LSD and I do NOT have a button.

Mechanical LSD was a stand alone option on the Tundras, at least in '05. I checked the box for it. But there were some combinations that resulted in different types of LSD. The models with stability control have an electronic LSD (abs activated instead of mechanical). I believe the 2wd trucks also have the electronic LSD.

Those of you with the buttons, do you have stability control? I was under the impression those models have a button to turn it off.

I believe all limited 4x4 came with the mechanical LSD(clutch plates in the diff) but not sure about non-trd versions.

Vsc was an optional deal on all Tundra models based off the 06 Information i have in front of me but i dont think i've seen that combo with Auto Lsd either and 4wd having those buttons in the same location as VSC?
Those with the Auto Lsd button are not available with mechanical limited slip rear diffential as stated on the guide.

I don't understand why they would put a button for LSD when it is only active if the drive wheel is spinning. The cool thing about that button is that you could put a locker in the rear and would be way better than LSD.

Just my opinion though :D

Very weird, I have never seen a push button on a DC

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing or not, but I believe the VSC option includes the auto LSD, however there's no "auto LSD" button. You would turn off the auto LSD by turning off VSC.

I remember looking at the options and didn't really like the fact that VSC came with the electronic (auto) LSD. I've seen cases of overheating the ABS system when offroading with those systems, plus you'd really need to turn VSC off when off-roading anyway, essentially giving you open diffs.

One thing I know is that when I press the 2WD/4HI button it disables the VSC (shown on the dash that it's disabled).
