I bought the reverse el glo gauges...

after taking them apart and putting the new ones in..I have come accross two problems...

Fitment...

The gauges fit fine..except for on the left side, on the oil temp and stuff.

Can I cut the el glo gauge to make it fit..?
Are they all like this ???

Problem 2...

Wiring, where do I connect the red and black wires to, where do I tap into the gauge's power ?

Thanks,

Abel

I'm not sure about trimming but I can help with power. I got power for my gauges off of the little dimmer switch on the left side of the steering wheel. I didn't even cut wires or solder anything. I just jammed the little wire ends (from the gauges) into the back of the dimmer switch. I'm not sure which one is power and ground but that is easy enough to figure out with a test light. Or you can just hook up the gauges and see if they work.

Does it not fit at all?

After I install mine, the one on the left shows a little white strip over to the next column. At first I thought I didn't installed it properly. Buy after several try, I realized it's manufacture's defect.

I don't know if this is the problem you're having. If so, instead of cutting, I just taped over the white strip with black tape. That should solve the problem!:)

Yeah on the left a little bit sticks out, and I was also quite erked by this. I thought of taping over it with electrical tape or even going over it with a sharpie, but wouldn't that cover the indicator lights on the right of that panel.

Oh well, it's been this way for a year almost and I am too lazy to pull it all apart.

Thanks for responding guys, I have been MIA for while.
