275/55/20 is the tire size that comes on the Tundra 4x4's with stock 20's. Thats equal to 31.9"-32" diameter tire with a 10.2" width, depending on what brand tire you got. I would say you could safely go an inch taller or so without lifting. One of the most poplular tires youll see recommended on this site are the BFG A/T KOs. As an example a 285/55/20 in the BFG has a diameter of 32.5", width of 11.7" going up from there a 285/65/20 is 34.7" dia and width of 11.5" and a 305/55/20 is 33.4" dia, width of 12.4" Hope that helps some.

Seeing as how you're down in Lexington and said "offroad tires"...Interco makes TrXus M/T and SSR TSLs in 20" rim sizes...35R20 for the TrXus and 33R20 for the SSR, or maybe it was the other way around.

Those BFG A/Ts will pack up in mud and you'll absolutely hate them. They are a dry condition offroad tire that's great for pavement pounding in any weather including deep snow, but for clay and silt mud, soft earth, damp, mossy stuff, they are horrific...most A/T tires will be that way, the lugs aren't designed to shed mud.

Try an M/T if you need a pavement pounder that'll work offroad on wet clay, otherwise if you need an all-conditions offroad tire that can be driven on pavement look for radial Interco tires that fit 20" rim sizes.

Or, get an A/T tire and stay on the pavement when it's wet...

OBTW if you're getting new rims, get 18s not 20s if you're serious about the offroad part.
