I plan to lift my 2000 access cab tundra with the toytech lift kit 3" in front and 1.5" in the rear. I would like to clear 285/75/16 nitto terra grapplers with very minimal rubbing, if any. I plan to stay with the stock wheels and want to know if i need to get new wheels due to backspacing issues to clear the tires. also, what about cv boots? Thanks in advance for any help that is much needed
You will need a diff drop from wheelersoffroad.com, you will probably need a 1.5" wheel adapter (spacer) to cure any rubbing issues.

personally i would(and am) going with new wheels. i was just in your position looking to lift and upsize, but it's too much of a pain in the *** to space it out and etcetera. 4 inches of BS is good to clear 285/75-16s which are approximately 33x12. you aren't gonna clear those size tires on the stock wheels, which are(correct me if i'm wrong) right at 4.5" BS. you can get a nice new set of wheels for 400-500 shipped without much problem. i ordered these..

for 500 to my door.
you can also pick up these steel wheels..
Custom Toyota Wheels from Wheeler's Off-Road (http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/tundrawheels.htm)
..for dirt cheap. the only downside is that they're a good bit heavier than comparable alloys(they say they're 37 lbs each versus low 20s for a set of 16x8 alloys).
hope this helps.
