Gorilla have you ran your truck at the track? I'm curious to see what your truck can do in the 1/4 mile... I'm sure you will surprise alot of ppl!

GORILLA

hopefully soon, we will run the 1/4 mile. i am getting a few of us together.
imports and hemi's, and a mini cooper's, etc.
we want to have bragging right's, running against each other.
it should be a really run event.
none of my tundra friend's want to play anymore.

today i went to ford, to look at the 2008 shelby GT500
what a nice option package's: handling, power upgrade packages
super packs and performance enhancements.

you got to go and check it out.

there is 3 supercharger's 400HP, 500HP and 600HP. that i was amazed to see 600Hp!
i was sticker shocked!
the GT is 300HP is 30g's.
the shelby gt500 cobra sticker was 47g's, not bad. even if i had to pay list.
but there was a shelby package & something else raising the price. and when i say rasing the price .listen to this: raised the sticker to 75+g's, plus a added state reg. charge i forget what they called it and tax tag's title, and a few other BS charger's brought it to over 85g's.
ARE THEY OUT OF THERE MIND'S.
FOR A FORD!

i went in to the dodge dealership and i could have bought the srt10 viper for 85 out the door.
which 1 would you buy/ viper or mustang or the vette for much less than the other 2?

the 5.7 tundra is looking better and better.
once the supercharger kit is available.
hopefully someone will have a twin turbo for the 5.7 tundra.
now thats something i'd love to test drive.
now that's just what the doctor ordered.

i'm so confused.
i am going to the speed shop this week, and i'm going to ask what would it cost to take a stock GT 300Hp mustang and punch it out to 600+ hopefully over 700HP.

i always said 10, g's for every 100 HP. that includes all other upgrade's suspension, drive tran, and brake's, etc.
so if i can buy a GT for 30 and add 30g's to have 700Hp thats a steal.
what are your thought's. i know i'm nutty, thats not the question.LOL
gorilla
p.s. today i ran a srt4 turbo, that car surely sounded awesome when the blow off valve released. but he was always looking at my rear the whole way.
now i heard they run a 5.6 for a 0 to 60mph. my truck is no way 5.6 in the 0 to 60.
so i assume he either spun the tire or was late off the line. but he didn't have enough power to catch me. which made me scratch my head, how could this be?
when we stoped he said what do you have in there.
i said: A FEW BOLT ON'S! :-)
he said: IMPOSSIBLE. so i poped the hood, he said i have a hidden bottle somewhere.
i said nope, not yet! ;-)

for all you power guy's: is there a very good mustang forum, i can look into, before i buy a stang ,so i have a better idea, of what's what.
i am hopeful that there is a forum 1/2 as good as tundra solutions. i truely doubt it. since i'm sure there are going to be even more BS'ers, since many of the stang owner's go for power.

the 500 & 600HP motor's say this:
what does this mean: not available with limited warrenty. so does that mean there is no warrenty on the 500 & 600hp motor's? even though it's brand new.
i wonder if the supercharger from TRD will have the same,NO warrenty on a blower motor.
thanks,
gorilla

hi, i just learned they are in the process of making a 700+ super snake.
wow, oh and that means no warrenty. might be out for 2009. i might be waiting for that 1. what do you think toyota is going to be building?

Hi Gorilla.

Remember you are a gorilla. You need a Tundra Gen 2 with the extra cab space. You cannot fit into a Mustang. :D

Rumor has it that toyota has scratched the supra and will bring it out under the lexus badge. 450 HP V-8.

GORILLA

honestly, 450HP is so way behind the time's.
i want that 700 super snake.or 600HP.
now thats power. if i could keep the wheels from spinning! LOL
oh and by the way the inside of the 2008 mustang, is larger than ever before, there is plenty of room. even for a 7' 400+lb gorilla LOL
but i'm a pigme.
the name gorilla means body guard in italian.

hi everyone, i thought i'd let you know this: after further inquiry's.
unless i can disable the speed and rev limitor, it doesn't pay for me to sink 10g's into this truck making it a twin turbo.
i joined a mustang forum. looking into that OEM 600HP
shelby GT500 cobra super snake 700HP ;-)

Yep get the Shelby. That will be a classic down the road. Vipers and newer vettes just don't have the history of the Shelby's.

toyota and lexus all have the same issue, the ECU code's. i have this issue ,and can't shake it. i have read about that project vehicle, usually when it comes time for release, it's always changed.
ford's i know are nightmare's.
ford( stand's for Fix Or Repair Daily).
i never liked them, but to be honest, it's a pretty good nice toy for sure, especially at 600 to 700Hp. and the sky is the limit. many are 800 900 and 1000hp. for a street vehcile, dam hard to say no to that kind of power plant.
if toyota released the code's and than and only than would company's begin to make serious power plant's, such as supercharger's and turbo kit's ,(direct bolt on's) for the tundra, and or there car's.

Gorilla you went to nopi in moroso this pass weekend?

hi, alexisd-
when i have said there were only a few gen2 that i liked, your's is 1 of them.
but i told you that before.
anyway, i went to my speed shop today, he is looking into the under dog racing module for me, & a nos set up.

oh by the way, hey guy's would you believe that there was someone who called the speed shop and asked if i dyno'ed my truck.
he wouldn't give his name, what i BIG BABY.
yes i dyno'ed my truck.
i guess they thought i was lieing! hah hahahahahaha.

a ford dealership also said , that the shelby gt500 600 HP has to be ordered right from shelby. the dealership's only have the 500Hp.
but my speed shiop said buy the cheap GT 300HP mustang, and for 10g's he can make it over 700HP.

so the way i figure it, 24 for the GT plus 10g's, = 34 plus tax etc. aroung 40g's
i will have a 700+HP stang, better and faster than any oem shelby GT500 stang.
decisions decisions...
i need to run a 5.7 anyone interested????
yes, i will contact you as soon as we get a play date set up for moroso.
i'd love to run your x-sp.5.7.
would you be interested in a run of a 1/4 mile?
i might just have NOS by than , and UDR module ;-)
that should even us up.
don't worry i won't tell everyone you lost! LOL

Usually from everything I have read, to make serious power from a Toyota an Aftermarket ECU is the first major upgrade. My buddy checked into putting a Hydra Nemesis into my truck for ****s and grins. Goes right in and Hydra will make a stock map to be modified for it.

GORILLA

hi yes, it's proto type does have serious power. under 5seconds from 0 to 60 and a top speed of 172 i believe. i seen it in car & driver to. i get all those mag. each month.
but in real world, that won't happen. i'd be surprised to see that tiny IS-F car go 172mph. governed to. BS
but yet all there other vehicles tap out at way less.
and yet our tundra's ,camry's ,etc, tap out at such low #'s.

i'll take a front end hit at 100 with my truck, before i would take a hit at 100 with that tinny tiny car. never mind at 172.
get my point. my body would end of being a part of the license plate.

don't worry we will be able to see 1st hand shortly how they hold up in a high speed crash, if they ever make it at it can do the claimed 172mph. SADLY DUE TO some kid is is going to think! he knows how to drive. i've been driving race ready car's for 30years, and it's 1 thing to do 100 it's a whole nother thing doing upwards of 135mph. it's a whole different ball game, believe me.
and for all you know it all's who have said it's easy going straight.
you haven't got a clue! try going straight at a buck 180.
even straight at 180mph is a task many of you CAN'T DO!
i guarentee it.

i will have fully research the super snake by fall of this year, it is suppose to be released. and if it's true a true 700HP motor street legal vehicle. and o've course i will know all the info by than , especially the goverened top speed, 0 to 60 & 0 to 100, 1/4 mile time's,etc
you ,might just see that in a few garage's.

i'm real tired of of the imports limiting the upgrade's, and not releasing the ecu code's.
again anyone that would spend 10g's on a vehicle that tap's out at 105 is nut's.
so you can get there 2 seconds faster than i. honestly. i'd love to have a 170mph 10+ second street legal car, right from the factory.

but again let's see what the real world produce's. anyone can talk the talk, but walking the walk is a whole different thing.
i'm going to wait it out ,until fall to see what they really make.
