**moderators, i know this will get moved to tonneau covers forum but can it stay here for a little bit so people get a chance to see it here before moving it**
Anyone else with a plastic cover like my Armorlid (like Undercover for example), be careful of static electricity with it. Ive noticed a little static electricity at times when i have taken it off and on, i had some styrofoam packing in the bed one day and some of the broken pieces stuck to the Armorlid due to static. well, i washed the truck the other day and the only thing i can thing of that caused the build up was drying it off with a towel. i went to pump gas last night and when i put my hand on there to lean against it while pumping gas i got shocked by the little static buildup...but it was direcly over the filler opening where i touched it. i know they say dont get back in your car and not to fill gas cans on bedliners because of static electricity but i never thought about the bed cover doing it too. BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH IT WHILE PUMPING - im assuming it could end in disaster just like any other place sparks might originate....just wanted to share and hopefully help someone out before it happens to them. anyone else notice buildup of static electricity on their plastic cover??
