I haven't been here in quite a while, but I do lurk still ;)

Anyway, I bought a set of Viscera 22s for the 02 AC Tundra I had, (That was undergoing a SPL rebuild ATM) and 3 weeks after having them, one of them BROKE APART at roughly 50Mph (Driver's Front). I remember the front end going down, and the back end getting loose, and thats it. From what Ive been told, the truck flipped 5 times across 6 lanes of traffic.

I was ejected, as the seatbelts were being relocated, and I only had to drive 2 miles to another shop. Here are before pics:

Yeah, it was a bit of a ride.... Seems that some gas was trapped in the wheel during the pour. But at least I got a chance to go buy a Double Cab :D

All considering I came out unscathed. Road rash on my "rear end" from sliding on the pavement  And some screwed up disks in my lower back, but it could have been MUCH worse. :amen:

PART OF A TREE IN THE WHEEL. (Oh yeah... hit a tree, and kept flipping. Oh by the way, All the tires ALL 4 are STILL Holding pressure. :shockeda::shockeda::shockeda:

If tundras are allergic, to bigger than 20"s, the double cab is gonna really hate me. :)

And yeah the River is still brown, stankin and nasty :crazy: :tu:

You mean to tell me the seat belt came off and you flew out the truck does it still run I thought I had it bad when my 2000 access cab V8 tundra got tolded back in 05 ! So did the wheel company pay for it or was it the insurance company. I would sue the wheels company that was a bad werck glad you was not going faster. So what did you get to replace the old tundra.

No I had to fit 6 15" subs in the back for the 08-09 season in Db Drag. I had to move the seat belts to fit the wall, so I had them laying within arms reach on the way to the second shop to start working on it. I am suing the wheel company, and insurance payed off the truck. I bought a 2006 Double Cab (grey) as the replacement. I will do a nice worklog on this one as it will be a "show" install, to tow the Astro around. :tu:

JBK- I hope that is the case, It sure looks like it. Still doesnt replace MY truck tho :(

Dont worry APIMPDAD, the Astro is getting even better treatment ;) Probably 20-30 15"s on roughly 60Kw... yeah 60'000watts CONTINUOUS :shocked::shockeda::faint:

Thanks Ontherox. ;) I know I got lucky... and I actually was ejected out the rear window, as the windshield wouldve decapitated me if I was in the drivers seat. Blessings came many ways. I really have a new appreciation for life now tho.

:ts: Yeah I know Im lucky. Really lucky. The guy in the Trauma Unit @ TGH said "Man.......... I...... When people come out of vehicles like you were in, they usually skip this step and go straight to the Coroner..... You have a purpose on this planet... "

--- Now time to figure out what that is ;)

Well I could have, but that isn't the point. Facts are facts: I lost 3200 in tools, and I was hurt. (I am having a rough time getting back to work, as I work for myself) So this causes roughly 6-7K a month that Im not making. I was well off before this, but Im not gonna spend more money now than I have to ;)

Medical bills are in excess of 130K right now and rising FAST. Im looking at 500K or more in compensation from the looks of things. I shouldnt have survived the accident, and you cant replace life. ;)
