What is the purpose of these lights?

I think these lights are a part of his windshield washer fluid squirters (hood mounted) and are for looks only. If they are, you'll want to try and find your running lights and tap in there. I have no idea where that would be though. Not much help here, sorry.

You are not really serious about putting those lights on are you??

I hope not. Please don't degrade your tundra like that. :(

Just my worthless $0.02 worth.

Tap into the drivers side headlight wires (red w/ blue stripe) that way they come on when they do. Since they are LED's you dont have to worry about drawing out to much current from the harness. You might want to put an inline fuse in tho and consider putting it on a switch as they may be illegal (depending upon the light color and your state laws :o )

Instead of the headlight wire tap into the parking light wire so they would come on with or without the headlights on.

FYI-They are illegal in California. Just letting you know since I see you may be moving here.

if i moved back home to calif i have the hooks up where i lived dad is a retired fresno police dept officer and i've used that to my advantage a couple of time:D ...state law's differ from state to state if i recall my parent's 99 avalon in which my dad was pulled over for having hid real aftermarkets headlight's and his reply to the calif chp was lexus has that on there car's what's the difference's....I know the avalon doesn't have hid headlight's from the factory and the lexus gs430 does what's the big deal hear? I think if lexus bmw and benz can have them so can i and who i will fight that to the fullest extent because it doesn't make any since hear . also why we have sema show in vegas every year to also deal with these very issues coming from the aftermarket and the new stuff for the coming year....

No cars or trucks come with LED nozzles from the factory, so telling the jusdge that Lexus and BMW install HID headlights from the factory isn't a good analogy and probably won't go very far.

They look better if you don't wire them up at all. The blue ones are especially pinheaded. - Lee

My Tundra is a black with a chrome trenz grille, and chrome bumpers, so i put these chrome washers on for fun. The lights do work, and i have em wired, but i cut the wire temporarily for now because...i dont know, ij ust did

Anyways, I have them wired to my fog light connection. That way, if i see a cop, i can turn them on/off. Despite everyone saying they aren't cool, i must say ifyou have a black/chrome scheme going on, they look really good, as they do on mine. If you want pics, i can post em up, it was very easy to do, and im 17. Just PM me or reply

Ryan,

hey arn't we driving a riceburner it's bad enought my coworker's ask me why i didn't get a ford or gm......I was thinking since everbody hate's me for getting these small and otherwise yet tackey mod item. might as well lower my tundra bag it to the ground and pimp my tundra on 23 inch wheel's who know i might was well have my ride on the cover of sport truck mag(lol NOT as note tundrav8georgia wouldn't be caught dead driving a lowered truck..............now only if i can get jesse james from west coast choppers to make my ride a little bit cooler i might as well spend the money and take my tundra back home to california to get the california treatment we are knowen for on our sport truck's. I might take to my former job at fresno unlimited and have my friend bill make my ride special his truck was featured on sport truck a 1994 gmc stepside sierra painted a wild rasberry color with a supercharger..................

as the saying goes to each there own and respect other's differences hell if all tundra's were alike this site would be boring........................

ps ryan how do you like my profile sig now? (sort of funny)

What does the term "riceburner" imply? Since we have lots of Asian members, could we use another term to describe tasteless modifications.
