I just sold it for 100 bucks more then I paid for it 2 years and 4 months ago.. Seems like Toyota's hold their value even in a poor economy..
This is the second Toyota I've sold. I had a 84 pickup and it was sold to my father in law in 1998 for 2000 dollars, in 2006 I sold it for 2000 dollars..

Yep I bought my 1988 4x4 in 1992 for $3000 and sold it in 1998 for $1500 to my brother but had people offering me $3000 and $4000 for it. It had 253k miles. Blood is thicker.
And I bought my 1998 xcab trd 4x4 for $19,000 in 1999 and sold it in 2007 for $8200. It had 145k miles. It was 9 damn years old! I put it on AutoTrader and had guys calling me in minutes and driving to my house. The first guy pulled out $8200 from his sock.

^^ Funny story.
Yeah, Tacoma's/Pickups hold their value extremely well.
Wonder what my 97 4x4 with all trd upgrades, recaro ds seats with 50k miles on it would bring?

My truck would sell anywhere from 11K-15K in its current condition.
