I wont get into the details cause I am still very upset. But the truck is two weeks old and is now scratched. well, for the detailing experts, the marks dont catch with my finger nail, so maybe it is technically not a scratched. there are black swirl marks and a bit a line. it does not appear to be through the paint. (the truck is white if that matters). I was wondering if someone had a suggestion for a buffing compound to try and get this off. there are no dents in the truck.

I have done some boat work, but not am afraid that the compounds that I have for fiberglass (gelcoat) marks would be too abrasive for the truck.

Yeah, dont use the gel coat polishes on the truck. Doesnt sound like this is going to be a big problem at all. Do you have a PC or will you be doing this by hand? Are you opposed to buying better products online or are you stuck with whatever walmart has ? If you cant feel the scratch with your fingernail than this is no big deal and you can probably patch this up with some Scratch-X by hand. If it deeper, your best results will be with a PC and a good polish.

Can you get some pics up of the damage ?

I was planning on doing this by hand. I want to get the right stuff to do the job or else take it to some to have done.
