: Question Replacing OEM Parts on Salvage Title

I've bought a 2001 Tundra SR5 4WD V6 under a salvage title and I'm working on replacing broken or ugly parts to help clear the title.

There's quite a few little questions that I would like to have anwers on before I mess something up:p

The drivers side hood lift is broken at the top. The top comes off easy, but the bottom, I have no idea on how to remove so that I can replace it with the new one I've bought.

Second question is about compatibility. I like the look of the '05 Tundra's front facia. I was wondering if the newer front facia would be almost an exact bolt on over my current chrome one? and I also like the Limted series Fender Flares/Mud Flaps. I'm wondering if those will also be an exact bolt on also, or if I should go with the normal oem black and chrome stripe or something aftermarket from a place like Bushwhacker.

Third is: The antena is a little dangly wire tucked under the driverside sun-shade. I would like to go back to an antena that's on the front passenger side fender. could anyone walk me through the addition of a new antena?

Some other random questions are: Do any people have a fabricator of skid plates that does good work and made with thicker than 3/16'' metal? What running boards or rocksliders...etc would you suggest to replace the factory black plastic ones? What are your opinions of great interior of exterior aftermarket or replacement parts for that would make the truck more comfortable, confident off road, and or make the exterior really look slick or aggresive? Other than a K&N airfilter...are there any performance parts for the 3.4 litter v6 4x4 of the Tundra out there?

Thank you for any replies,

Nic
