I was just wondering what Offroad shops there are in WA, I haven't had a need yet but I was thinking that I don't really know of any. I know of 4wheelparts in the area but I don't care for them. Anyone have a favorite place they frequent?

There are several in the south sound. You have Olympic Offroad, Cascade Offroad, and BillyBobs. There are a few more in the North part of the sound.

It really depends on where you are located. I would stay away from 4WP...I am always disappointed in them. I used to frequent the shop in Oak harbor (GREAT customer service) and the one in Bellingham....Damn if I can remember their name...

See, living on the Island(south end) and I had no idea there was a shop near by...I am going to try and find out the shop in Oak Harbor. But I will also check out the others that were mentioned.

Ya they are way cool.....They are right near the intersection of Midway and SR20 I believe....Turn right at the last light before you go up the hill out of town and they are about 2 blocks down on the left.

Ive had very good luck with 4WP Seattle (Lynnwood) store. I know there is Northwest Offroad Specialties in Bellingham and I believe there still is Central 4WD in Kent.

Yeah the 4WP in Lynnwood is the one that I went to and did not care for it. I was in there to ask about lift kits and they were trying to sell me some crazy expensive kits. I asked the sales(kid) about the adjustable Billsteins, and if they go up to 2.5 inch lift. He said that they don't carry them and he was not sure of the lift height....(thats funny because there was a large banner behind him with the Bilstein coilovers on it and other types of shocks) so I pointed that out and he said that they do carry them but they only lift to 2inches and do not go to 2.5inches....I said thanks for your help and left. That kinda soured my experience with 4WP, they may be a good place but I would rather spend my money at a quality shop that knows whats what. My brother-in-law is all gung ho for the place and I just go with it. I suspect he will feel different about the place at some point.

Same experience at Lynnwood 4WP.....I drove in there in my lifted tacoma and asked a few simple questions and it was an immediate "for that thing?" They only care about lifting the big 3 and the occasional hummer on like 30" rims. That place is a forest fire of jackass-ery....Ill give my money to the local guy with better customer service, even if it costs significantly more. 99 times out of 100 I will support the little guy....You're just a number to 4WP.....

Better Off Road

I havent been there in a few years, but I can only assume that things have not changed. Right time the first time.....

So what does Better Offroad carry? Do they fabricate parts, or carry/sell offroading parts and what not? I'm guessing it's not strictly Toyota stuff they carry but just general parts?

A lot of general stuff, mostly for the big 3 but they can order and install anything.

Cool beans! I need to stop in and check it out. I like knowing that there is store near by, just a quick 45min drive up there :thumb:. Thumbs down to 4WP :td:

Down here in Vancouver, seems a lot of people use Woody's 4x4. I've been in there a couple times looking at bed covers and tool boxes, but they've got a pretty good selection of everything from what I could tell...

Welcome back, it hasn't changed much, same ol' Island. I plan on finding some more trails(on Island, off Island) to explore. I'm heading up to Forks for a few days and I will be scoping out some fishing holes and lakes. Some of the spots are 10-20 miles down fire roads and logging roads. It should be fun.

Don't forget the 4x4 thing going on at Puyallup Fairgrounds next weekend too!

There are tons of places to go off island. Check out Walker Valley, Reiter Pit, the FS roads around Greenwater. There are tons of OHV areas in the PNW if you know where to look. Check out the WA chapter of TTORA....they should still be around....

Does anyone have any experience with the offroad shops in N. King/S. Snohomish County?
