I have the 2007 camry se. I want to know if there is a way to change the setting for the speedometer light. I don't like it when it dims out at night or under a dark shade. I've tried to mess around with it but nothing works. I like the brightness, because it gives me better viewing although some people will like it dim. thanks....

I'm not sure I completely understand. The backlighting in the dash dims out to black? Is it a bad bulb or the color of the illumination that you don't like?

no, i just don't like the fact that it dims out. I want the full brightness as day time.

The instrument lighting dims when the ambient light is low (sunset, tunnel, night).

Turn up the brightness of the display at night until you find a spot where the change is minimized. It will be very bright at night then.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist.

and it's spelled gauge..............

thanks for the Spelling Correction. I've tried to turn up the brightness but it doesn't get as bright as when the lights are off. I know it will be bright at night but that's what I want.
