Hey guys,

I just replaced the front brake pads, and installed new rotors, and brake guide pins on my 06 Tundra SR5 4x4 double cab. The bleed the brakes in the order RR, LR, FR, FL.

Pumped the brakes then did a test drive around the block.

Now when I stop I can feel / here the abs kicking in at the end of a gradual stop. ABS and Brake lights do not come on.

Possible dirty wheel speed sensor?

I get no error codes when I do a scan with my scangauge.

Thanks for the help!

I don't think the Scan Gauge will pick up ABS codes, but if the light is not on your not setting a code. Sounds like some kind of ABS sensor issue. Check it carefully for metal stuck to the magnetic tip. Also look at the tone ring on the CV joint. We just seen one of these break on a Mercury Mariner after the rotors had to be beat off with a hammer. Guess the shock cause the ring to snap.

I also saw this same problem with the tone ring when I did the rear brakes on my moms escape.

you forgot to bleed the proportioning valve (located just above your rear differential). however, i strongly doubt this would cause your issue.

Has anyone figured this one out? This also happened to my '04 Tundra after pad and rotor change. If you look thru this site you will find this occurring on several Tundras.
