: What fuse?

Hi,

The light in the trunk of my '97 Avalon has never worked so I pried off the plastic cover and pulled out the fuse the other day and no surprise, it was blown. The one that was in there says it's a 12V 3W fuse (no, no amperage). What it says is "KOITO 12V3WK".

I don't know if this is actually the right fuse that should be in there or if the previous owner just found a random fuse and stuck it in only for it to blow and since it's in the trunk decided it wasn't worth the trouble.

Does anyone know what fuse should *REALLY* go there?

Thanks!

The luggage compartment light is tied into the dome light circuit. If the dome light works, then you do not have a fuse out.
What your describing is the plastic cover for the trunk light and you removed the BULB.
KOITO 12V3WK", means it a a 12volt bulb providing 3 watts of light.
Match up the bulb you removed with another new one and re-install it, you should be ok. If it still doesnt work, then you have a wiring issue as long as the dome light works.

I had the same issue-trunk out. replaced bulb. NOW, the trunk/dome/courtesy/door lights + security system are all not working. As well as the clock is "blinking"
I can't find a fuse to replace.
any help?

Thanks

The fuses are in several locations, and vary by year. Check owners manual for location/listing of fuses. If you don't have paper, go to toyota.com and read it online.
