The front driver side arm rest on my 2003 AC (bucket seat) drops down past where the pin is that is supposed to stop it. The pin is not worn but the arm rest itself is. Has anyone run into this and if so what fix did you use? Was thinking of drilling and tapping a hole and run a socket head cap screw in to act as a stop. I switched the left seat rest to the right and the right seat rest to the left. This worked because it was resting on the other end of the slot in the arm rest, but looked kinda goofy.

I tore mine apart ,,,very easy unzip cover and removed the pivot bolt . I didn't like how far down my armrest went down . I wanted it to rest higher . I took a nylon threaded nut the was the same diameter of the stop and just screwed it on there . It fitted tight and raised the stop position as to where my arm rest perfectly while holding the steering wheel . And I can get to the seatbelt fastening without having to raise the armrest . I took a dremel tool and honed out the armrest side of the stop as to let the armrest go all the way up to its normal position .
