I have a 2006 double cab, and have been having problems with the tailgate not opening....It has been a recuring problem since I got it, and now have taken it to the dealer for them to look at it.....The warranty is up in 2 months!!!

They are telling me that some of the spray in bedliner got in there, and that is causing the issue.....That may possibly be, but the problem was there long before the liner was sprayed in....

Anyone else have issues with this????

I had this problem on my tailgate. Every time I went to open the tailgate I had to push in before opening. I just adjusted the male portion of the latch on the side. The part that sticks out. It took sometime to adjust to the correct spot but now it's like new. Good luck
