might want to put the supplied hose on that air horn as your air intake is facing forward and road spray and water from a large puddle could get into the horn more easily than if it were turned to the side.

^LOL..You can say it is overkill for sure, but got a heck of a deal to begin with, and also on the 4 extra horns. Just lovely at shows, plus it is hooked to my alarm remote and I can blow them from up to a mile away without being in the truck. :D

Thanks for this post, I put in a 300Hz Stebel truck horn too. I kept the 2 factory horns as well. It does add a lot and sounds somewhat train like  .....It's great to use when people cut you off in traffic. :p

Larry,

bought it straight from Stebel at the following link

Welcome To Stebel Engineered Sounds - Are You Man Enough To Ride With Stebel? (http://www.stebelengineeredsounds.com/mini_air_horns.html)

bought the one at the bottom left - compact truck horn 300Hz

Just a note... the Stebel Engineered Sounds site is NOT the actual Stebel company site. Plus there is something there that is crashing firefox and IE... Not sure it matters. The direct site in the USA for stebel is:

STEBEL-USA (http://www.stebel-usa.com)

I'm about to pull the trigger on this one myself.

Cheers.

Thanks Pete---I listened to the 4 horns. Would you say that the one you guys are buying sounds like the sample from the web site or better? Can't say I was totally impressed with the sound. The other 3 seemed to sound better. What is everybody's reason for buying the compact truck unit? Thanks

it sounds much better in person....the taped versions are not representative...I would have never bought it just hearing it online but I heard it live on member ZPaul's truck at the midatlantic meet in Philly....sounded really good there....well until Saltydog snipped my jewels with his compressor assisted train horn:(
....buying the 300hz not the 650?hz....lower Hz deeper sound.
I'm happy with it...nice upgrade for little cost.

That first site claims the db levels of the electrics are similar to the airs. That doesn't seem right?
