I have a new used 04 Sequoia . Thinking of naming it " Pest Control " . I can't believe how many bugs that are all over my windshield that I kill . I am constantly cleaning the windshield .

I've never had a bug shield before so I am not to familiar with them . I can see where they prolly keep things off the hood but do they actually work on eliminating or cutting down the amount of bugs from hitting the windshield ?

And do you guys know of which brand might be a good choice to buy ?

You know..... that show MythBusters should do a test to see if bugs really are deflected away from the windshield with those things...... I have one more for protecting the hood from those low-flying, high-speed projectiles, like cig butts, bugs, rocks, etc... Mine wrap around the corners a little bit, but there's all kinds out there.

I think they work. Had one on my 04 Dakota, no chips. Had my 09 Crewmax for about 5 months before I got one. With that big power-bulged hood, I see a couple paint chips from small debris that flew at the truck head on that probably wouldn't be there if I had gotten one.
