Has anyone changed to full synthetic on an older Camry with no leaks afterwards. I have a 1992 Camry 4cyl. with a 140000. It has no leaks now and had the timing belt changed twice during the life of the vehicle by a local dealer per the Carfax. I just bought it and was on the fence to go full synthetic or not.

I also have a 96 Camry that had 79k and changed to full synthetic at the time and it has been three years since with no leaks but with 140 K on this one, I am not sure.

I haven't switched to synthetic on my 1994 yet, because it leaks from the rear main seal. AFAIK the rumors that switching to synthetic will cause oil leaks is exactly that, a rumor.

My 99 Solara V6 was switched around 175k. I'm at 205k now with mobil 1. I'm thinking of trying 0w-20 because of my short commutes and possibly better mpg.
