I had an 18" Magnaflow installed the other day. All the piping is stock besides the 3" rolled tip I also had installed. Less than $200 out the door at a local shop/Magnaflow dealer. I left the resonator on. I didn't want a freeway drone. It sounds really good and seems to have woke it up a little bit. It has that nice deep Magnaflow tone but it's not loud at all which is exactly what I was looking for. I just wanted it to sound like it had a V-8 in it like they should. I thought the Flowmaster sounded like a ricer on the 4.7.
My camera placement kind of sucked but you get the idea.

Pretty nice. I agree on the dronemaster, made my truck sound like the ricer from hell, but to be fair it was dumped. Sure with proper piping it would be better.

Ditch that resonator and get a smaller muffler. 14" instead.

Give it around 4000 miles to really come to life. I have the exact same set up. It was too quiet at first, but now it sounds perfect. Not too loud in the cab, just a nice deep purr.

Yeah, I'm glad I went with the 18" also. But the shop did remove that resonator, so it is a bit louder. I think its a little bit more "civilized" than the Flowmasters, for an everyday driver....Sounds good though, UKMyers!
