Q1: where to buy

OK, I'm going to go w/ the TRD dual exhaust setup on my 06 Double Cab.
Will do the install myself.

Looking for the best price on this product and info/advice from anyone that's already done it.

I'm all for supporting site sponsors as long as their price is close to the best I can do elsewhere. (they don't have to be best price but it should be in the ballpark)

I'm already entering the Sparks Toyota gift certificate thing, here's hoping.
Their price isn't bad either but there has to be someone out there dumping stock for a truck that's 4-5 model years old.

Q2: Do I remove the stock exhaust back to the CAT and then install 2 new sections?
Thinking it must be that way but the few pics I've seen in the online catalogs only show 1 tailpipe and I'm not understanding that.

Any gotchas on the install?

Should I consider the Bassini's ???

And yes, I know, my local muffler shop could do a nice setup for less money but;
1) I want stainless steel
2) the lazy bashterd dragged azz on an old project of mine that took months and months
3) the other local guy that does decent work jammed me on a different project and I don't feel like dealing with him for a while

I can't believe they would but that could seal the deal as they say.

And yeah I've used the search function, only hangup is, we don't the sub forums split into Gen1/Gen2 answers...

The Gen 1 forum has good stuff as does the Exhaust forum but the Exhaust forum is combined so I end up digging through a lot of Gen 2 stuff that doesn't apply.

Anyway, love all the info here, just want to make sure I'm clear on the parts being ordered, any surprises during install and if there are any 'special' deals happening.

yeah i been doing some research for the gen 1 trd for my dad. It looks like the original muffler gets chopped off then they just slap on the "cosmetic duals" where it just two tail pipes coming out of one muffler. Bassini makes the trd exhaust i believe and they generally have the same prices.
