My serpentine belt is starting to crack so I bought a new one. I am going to attempt to change it tomorrow if I get off of work if there is enough time to change it (or maybe this weekend). I have read to put a socket wrench with a 19mm socket on the tensioner nut and pull towards the front of the car to loosen the belt. Then take off the old and replace with the new.

I went out and looked under the hood after I got home (w/ engine hot) and noticed it's a tight fit. I made a sketch of how the belt is ran. I've changed these belts on my Mustang and Isuzu Pickup before in about 10 mins with no problem but there was plenty of room. It looks like I may have to unhook the power steering reservoir from its bracket to free up some room.

Anyone else have insight, tips, or tricks?
Thanks

Pretty simple stuff, small hands and arms make the job easier. Get some leverage with a small pipe or tube with on your ratchet or wrench will make it easier to rotate the idler pulley forward.

That's what I was thinking too. I got to look under the hood today in the sunlight, I don't think I'll have a problem.
