So I've searched, read LOTS of good info by Brandon and Jumbo on products and reviews; I have a 2010 Tundra and want to ensure I am using products that I, for one will not mess up my truck with and also will work well.

Down the line I hope to get a PC 7424xp, but for now will just be the ol' hand arm machine! ha. I have a 'buffer' that you get at advanced that is stashed down in my toolbox, but after reading lots of posts, it seems that will cause more damage than good so it will be staying in the toolbox.

I bought a can of Meguires Cleaner Paste Wax: Meguiar's Direct Cleaner Wax - Paste (http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product_detail.asp?T1=MEG+A1214)

I am wanting to order a tin of the DP Max Wax, but is the above wax a good product to use until I finish that can up and then order a tin of DP? I am looking at ordering a Monster Fluffy for the waxing/buffing, the Guzzler Waffle Weave by Cobra, Duragloss 105 and 952. (I have a gift card someone gave me for Christmas for Amazon and can get all of the above except the 105, not sold on Amazon for some reason).

I picked up a jug of RainX car wash that has, I believe carnauba beads in it to wash the truck; dry with the waffle weave; 105 then Meguires with applicator pads using the Monster Fluffy to buff; then 952 inbetween waxes when I wash the truck.

Am I on the correct path, or should I research more and change my options?

Thanks for the help! :tu:

You are on a very good path. The wax you have you can stop using in favor of the Duragloss, it isnt as durable or long lasting. You can use the MaxWax over top of the 105 and you can use the Duragloss spray over either.

I like all your products, but make sure you order some proper wash mitts as well, and get a grit guard. Other than that, your order looks great.

Thanks for the help Brandon. Just ordered the Monster Fluffy, Cobra Waffle Weave, Duragloss 951 and 105 and a grit guard.

So that Meguiars wax I have isn't worth the use? I have a brand new can of it is why I ask but plan on getting that DP Max Wax

It has cleaners in it that will remove any previous layers, and you cant use it as a base layer b/c nothing will bond to it.

Enough said..won't use it but I'll keep it for the wifes car hah :)

Thanks Brandon. Did you sell off your old PC and some of the detailing stuff you had that I read about in some older threads?
