I'm looking to swap out my dash LEDs from that ugly green to a color more fitting. I will be changing out the LEDs to have a white background, with blue needles. It will look just like this:

But I need to know what type of LED I need and how many. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. :ts:

I know old post....I dont' know if you did this or not yet but the green color is not the LED. The LED behind the dash, except for the warning lights, are all white. The greed is in the plastic dash plate. I did mine, I used 400 wet sand paper and sanded the thin green film off of the BACK of the plate. No worries about sanding too deep, you won't.

You'll see little black dots around the gauges, it's to dim the light in the center of the gauge. without the black dots it's a little brighter in the center.

There's also a green film over the odometer that I removed.

I did just what you're thinking with the needles too. I tried a few different things but a blue sharpie gave the best results. The needles honestly were disappointing. The orange on the back of the needles also will sand off.

still with orange needles, but this is what the plate looks like just sanded and nothing else done.
