I was reading about the open differential and some other modifications that can be made for when we are towing larger size boats that are pushing the 6500-7k lb range.

Can some one explain those modifications that can be made to help us do this?

Specifically my Taco is a 09 4x2 PRE runner TRD Sport Xtra Valu Package with AUTO LSD, and im worried about towing my friends boat that weighs roughly 6000-6700 lbs

I will not be towing this boat long distances, specifically only using the truck to pull the boat out of the ocean as well as launching it, also to and from the residence.

So is there any other options that we can add to make this process easier? or are we SOL?

What is your concern? Launching and retrieving the boat with insufficient traction? Or going down the road? Or something else?
