Is there an other year tranny with improved internals that will exchange directly with 2000 V84X4?without any mechanical or computer adjustments?My had a lot of metal and looks like soon I'll need a new one...

The 03's will work. I want to say another member installed an 04-06 model but, can't remember.

The '04+ will work and have better internals... BUT you will need the tail cover off of your current transmission. Thats a simple job to swap. You will be needing it soon based on the pictures. Those are teeth. Good Luck.

is '03 improved? or same as '00? Also are '04+ 5speed?And are they work with '00 computer with no issues? Are the connectors same? Thanks guys in advance...

The later models (02 and 03) had less issues because of the improvements. Although there was still reports of tranny failures but, not as much as the 00's.

for your other question on the 04-06, I'm not sure.
