The serp belt replacement in the Tundra was so straight forward, who knew the built in Japan RAV4 wouldn't be?
Well I thought it was, so I removed the lower dust cover/shroud and attempted to replace the serpentine belt on my 2004 RAV4 2.4L. From underneath, the tensioner pulley isn't very obvious (as it is in the Tundra). After yanking on the belt's slack a few times and carefully eyeing the movements, I think the tensioner is the pulley in the center with the oddball bolt head? Needless to say, I didn't have the right socket for it. Is it an "E" type socket? Like the manifold studs on the Tundra, but larger.
I couldn't figure it out so I put the cover back on and threw in the towel. And here I am, asking for assistance.
