I have an 07 Tacoma 2.7L (2TR-FE). In the rear I have an aftermarket A/C system to transport frozen foods. My Alternator is not putting out enough power to run the system. I've tried looking for a high output alternator but no one seems to make one for this year model because the alternator is too small.

Is there another alternator that I can fit in this truck? Or can I use a high output alternator made for the V6-4.0L (1GR-FE) engine with modifications? Anyone with any ideas would be great, thanks.

don't know about upgrading to the tow package alternator?
but there are companies that can rewind a alternator and get a lot more out of it !
