This question has been asked here before but none of the threads have any real solutions.

What is everyone using for aftermarket mudflaps? Both the flaps on my truck and my buddies have been torn off at freeway speeds causing a loud and nervous slamming and smacking on the side of the truck. I'm over 60k so I can't do a warranty. Plus these mud flaps are plastic garbage to begin with.

I know some people think the truck looks better without them, but I want them for the rain and well, mud.

Has anyone found any mud flaps that work well? :ts:

Hey, just read this and I have tried a couple different versions on my tundra and my old tacoma. I went with the CRE splash guards (larger than stock) and cut the long tab off the top. I matched up the old mud flap to it....to retain the same mounting holes as factory. The very back mounting hole required a longer bolt and a custom spacer to make it work. Anyway, you can check them out at this link:CRE Products | Product Information (http://www.rockerflares.com/pages/splashguards/36x12.html)

I was able to mount them a little further out to cover the 33" tires I had on there, so they worked really well and looked stock. Good luck!

Both of mine on my 05 broke the first winter I had it. I backed up in some deep snow and the next day I noticed both were broken. Perhaps I should have had them warrantied but it's about 60k miles too late now. I actually fixed them both though. I drilled 5-6 holes on either side of the splits and used zip ties to put them back together. Then a little weatherstrip adhesive in the crack. They have both been fine ever since and it's been 5 years and about 95k miles since I repaired them.
