I have an 08' Tacoma and I'm having issues with the brakes. I realize that the truck only has disk brakes in the front, and drums in the rear. I am wondering if anyone else feels the truck lurch forward during the stop, and if so has any knowledge of how to correct the problem. I also have a lifted Wrangler with 32" of rubber, and it stops much better than the Tacoma, which is saying alot for a Jeep with a 2 1/2" lift. I was told that by disconnecting the battery cables for a period of time it will reset the computer so that the truck downshifts when stopping, but I don't know how accurate this is. If anyone could give me some feedback it would be great. Thanks. Ryan.

Welcome to TS from NorCal!

What you have described is a very common problem, and has generated a lot of discussion. If you search this board for "lurch" you will get this: Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum - Search Results (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/search.php?searchid=4334415)

The most recent thread is nearly two years old, but there's plenty of good info.
