After reading posts about 2005-2006 taco owners, I assumed that Toyota would have addressed the tailgate stolen issues. I just bought a 2008 taco prerunner sr5 used and was able to steal my own tailgate. WTF??? Why hasn't Toyota addressed this issue? Do I really have to do the "hose clamp" mode on my own? Has Toyota done anything about this HUGE issue? Is there a TSB on this? I know, that is a cheap fix, but Toyota should have fixed this issue by 2008 don't you think? Let me know!!!!
