: TPMS issue

My plan is to buy new wheels and tires and use them for the late "spring" to "fall" driving season. Use the stock wheels and tires for the "winter" driving season. I did this when I bought my new 2003 Tundra and it worked out great.
But, the Tundra didn't have TPMS so there were no issues. I was told new sensors (from Tire Rack) are about $190.00.:td: I really couldn't care less about the monitoring system so what are my options? Can the system be disconnected? Drive with the light on and cover it with tape?
I know many guys have aftermarket wheels and tires and I'm wondering how they deal with the issue.

Thanks for that link. I read most of it. I notice different years are mentioned but I didn't see one for a 2010. I'm sure I'll figure it out. I really like the one where you hold the button in for a few seconds while driving and it defeats the system.:tu: I wasn't too excited about the one where you tear the whole dash and console apart.:td:
Thanks again------
