2007 Sequoia 2WD :attention:
I have been told by the dealer that the Sequoia's transmission and differential are supposed to use World Standard WS ATF only. Currently I am using T-IV in the transmission and 80W90 gear oil in the differential. I am starting to hear a whining noise coming from the differential. The dealer also told me that WS in the transmission is usually good for 100k miles before changing (and that I should not have changed it at 30k & 60k ). Has anyone had any similar experiences with not using WS in their differential or transmission? Any idea how bad this screws things up?

The A750E transmission calls for WS toyota fluid, which is a low viscosity synthetic. Until recently, there were no substitutes for this oil. I know Amsoil makes one but not sure about other brands. If the fluid in your tranny is not a direct replacement for the WS fluid, change it now. A higher viscosity fluid may cause the tranny to malfunction.

Your diff fluid might be a little light. It calls for GL-5, so make sure that your oil is rated GL-5.
I run 75-90 in my front and center diffs, and 75-140 in the rear diff. The rear diff also requires synthetic.
