I have had my 07 Tundra DC for just a few weeks now and have to say it blows the old F150 out of the water. It does sit up a bit higher tho and my wife says she is having a little trouble getting in and out of the truck so she wants me to get some steps to make it easier for her to get in and out. Hell, who am I to argue? I did some research and decided on the smittybilt black nerf bars from 4wheel parts. They are affordable and appear to be well made. I got them home, unpacked them and began the install.

I cant tell you how easy this was. All mounts are marked for location as well as the bars and in a little over an hour it is done.

So far I'm very pleased with them but time will tell.

Thx

BTW:::\

I also did the homelink mirror mod earlier this week and cant be more pleased. I picked up the mirror at Arlington Toyota in Jacksonville Fla for 85 bux and got it in 3 days. For those of you guys with the long overhead console like mine that has the light in the rear deck, all you do is pop off the lens, the reflector pulls out and the last 2 torx are behind it. I didn't find any info on how to remove the overhead console with the rear light so I just wanted to share.

I had pretty good results with Smittybilt bars that I had on a Dodge truck. Living in the rust and salt belt (western NY), they did eventually rust out, but I had not complaints due to their low cost and how well they functioned.

And...I just bought a 2007 SR5 and love it! I'll be looking to add nerf bars in a couple of months and I wouldn't hesitate to go with Smittybilt or Westin bars. I'm thinking of going with the stainless steel due to the lifetime warranty...if the warranty is really worth anything.

If you want stainless, only Steelcraft and Nasta make 100% stainless including the mounting brackets, bolts, nuts, and washers. Other brands use galvanized or powdercoated mild steel.
